GTA IN BRIEF: Infrastructure plan released

On February 14, Prime Minister Stephen Harper released details of the New Building Canada Plan.

The plan outlines funding for small communities and public infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, subways and commuter rail and includes cost-sharing details with provinces, territories, municipalities and private partners.

Funding of 14-billion will be provided over the next 10 years starting in the spring.
