The Queen of Kosher is coming to Thornhill Feb. 25.

The bestselling author of Joy of Kosher: Fast, Fresh Family Recipes will be doing a cooking demonstration and book signing in Thornhill.

Jamie Geller, dubbed the “Jewish Rachael Ray” by CBS and “Queen of Kosher” by the New York Times, will make her first-ever visit to fans in the GTA.

The bestselling author, known for her fast, fresh and delicious family meals will showcase recipes from her new book Joy of Kosher at one of the largest synagogue congregations in North America, Bayt Avraham Yosef of Toronto Congregation in Thornhill.

“Jamie’s new book is outstanding,” said Lisa Berman, a representative of the Maddie Leventhal

Mikveh Center at the synagogue and organizer of the event.

“There are more than 300 ladies here who simply can’t wait for her visit. We’re so excited to see her demonstrate her recipes in person and we hope to raise significant funds for a key community project that enriches the lives of thousands.”

“It’s my great passion to help busy moms figure out what to cook for dinner, as well as letting people know that kosher living is inspiring and fun, too,” said Ms Geller in a press release.

“Women are not just hungering for new ideas for fixing dinner; they also want food for their souls and it’s an absolute privilege to interact with all kinds of women. I’m a self-professed “serial hugger”, so watch out!”

The author visit will be held Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 7:45 p.m. at Beth Avraham Yoseph, 613 Clark Ave., Thornhill.
