York Region slips and slides on snowy roads, but warmer temps to come this week

Yes, it is only 30 days until spring, but you wouldn't know that upon waking this morning in York Region.

Winter appears to be back with a vengeance as drivers navigated slippery roads after the Family Day long weekend.

You can expect less than 1 mm of rain between now and tomorrow evening, along with about 1 cm of snow during this same period, according to The Weather Network.

That's the bad news. But the good news is that temperatures are predicted to warm up slightly over the next few days of this short work week. By tomorrow morning, you'll wake up to 1 C. Temps continue to climb into Friday, with 6 C and light rain expected to fall. That should do wonders for helping to melt the massive piles of snow that have begun to grow throughout York Region.
