Torontonians are most excited about soccer, the opening ceremony, equestrian, track and artistic gymnastics at the 2015 Pan Am Games, according to ticket sales thus far. But there are still plenty of seats available.
Officially on sale Monday, tickets can be purchased online at Toronto2015.org/tickets or by calling 1-855-726-2015 (local) or 1-949-333-4824 (international).
Discounted tickets are available to people aged 16 and under and 65 and older. The majority - 75 per cent - cost $45 or less. Tickets also include public transit for the day of the event. The games run from July 10 to 26.
The games have sold 160,000 of 1.4 million seats available through an early bird lottery held in September.
“We wanted people to be able to reserve their most favourite event...at the earliest possibility,” said Saad Rafi, CEO of the Pan Am Games. Monday's launch is kicking off at the soon to open new Aquatic Centre in Scarborough at noon, featuring a dive off one of the new towers, and appearances by athletes including Toronto FC's Dwayne De Rosario.
