The very first Bookfest hosted by Vaughan Public Libraries (VPL) was a wonderful celebration of books. The afternoon was full of fun for the entire family as guests had the chance to meet with over 30 local authors and talk with them about their newest boks. Award-winning author Don Gillmor and bestselling author Helaine Becker also put on a special presentation for the audience. There were a few exciting programs for everyone to participate in including the Writer’s Workshops where budding writers could sharpen their writing skills, the Kids Corner where kids could join in on fund children’s activities and the trading in used books at the Book Swap.
