Remembrance Day parade, ceremony, open house in Woodbridge

There are several events set for Remembrance Day, Tuesday, Nov. 11 around Vaughan, including:

A Remembrance Day parade and ceremony Tuesday begins at 10:30 a.m. from Market Lane, where participants will walk toward the Cenotaph via Woodbridge Avenue, south of Wallace Street. A ceremony at the Cenotaph follows at 11 a.m.

Refreshments will be served afterward at the Royal Canadian Legion Mackenzie Branch 414, 60 Legion Court, Woodbridge. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Also on Nov. 11 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. is a Remembrance Day open house at the Historic Wallace House, 137 Woodbridge Ave.

There will be an exhibit by the Royal Canadian Legion Mackenzie Branch 414, Woodbridge and Air Cadets 3283 that includes memorabilia covering the War of 1812, World War I and II, conflicts in Korea, Bosnia, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria and the recent Canadian soil tragedies in St. Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec and Ottawa, Ontario.
