There are three candidates in the running to build, maintain and finance the future Vaughan hospital.
Infrastructure Ontario and local hospital corporation Mackenzie Health unveiled the so-called “shortlist” of consortia approved to bid on the estimated $1 billion-dollar project Tuesday afternoon.
The three teams include:
The consortia were selected based on several criteria including construction capability, experience and financial capacity to deliver a project of this size and scope, according to a news release.
The shortlisted teams will be invited to respond to a request for proposals (RFP) expected to be issued later this year, with winning bidder to be selected in 2015.
The hospital is slated to open in 2019.
