Vaughan compensation settlement approved

In a September 30 decision, board member Christopher Conti approved a settlement between the City of Vaughan and the York Region District School Board and Mary’s Well Properties Inc., 434738 Ontario Limited and George and Antoniette Margie. The appellants all submitted applications under the Expropriations Act for compensation due to the expropriation of 25.01 acres at 4020 Major Mackenzie Drive West in Vaughan for a school site and associated uses.

The board was informed that a settlement was approved by Vaughan council and all parties were in agreement.
The board approved the settlement.
