The Town of Aurora is being recognized for excellence in the delivery of service to residents.
The prestigious accreditation, excellence, innovation and wellness bronze certification, given by Excellence Canada marks the effort put forth by town staff and management to improve all areas of program and service delivery at town hall.
Town of Aurora CAO Neil Garbe is proud of the achievement and appreciates the time and expertise town staff gave toward the excellence matters Aurora initiative to strengthen service delivery to residence.
“Bronze accreditation shows our service delivery is on the right track and I look forward to continuing efforts to strengthen our organizational excellence by pursuing sliver accreditation as soon as possible,” Garbe added.
Staff from the CAO’s office led the initiative as part of the excellence matters Aurora initiative. The team, a cross-departmental task force comprising front-line staff, supervisors and managers, works to identify areas of improvement in service delivery and ensure that town staff is fully informed on senior management decisions.
Bronze certification followed evaluations by staff from Excellence Canada, where dozens of town staff were interviewed extensively about program and service delivery.
Aurora scored 85 per cent on the assessment, easily surpassing the minimum required score of 65 per cent and positioning the town well for silver certification.
Excellence Canada Senior Vice-President Kathryn Cestnick will present a certificate to Mayor Geoff Dawe and Garbe tomorrow at 10 a.m. at town hall.
