Aurora, Vaughan restaurants charged with health violations

Public health inspectors handed out tickets for violations of the province’s Health Protection and Promotion Act at four York Region establishments last week.

The following violations were reported:

• Gourmet Gringos, 4 - 15380 Bayview Ave., Aurora, was cited for fail to have test reagent available at place of sanitization.
• The Chicken Place, 1 - 1 Industrial Pkwy. S., Aurora, was charged with failing to sanitize utensils in a third sink.
• Country Style, 681 Chrislea Rd., Vaughan, was written up for operating a food premise that was not maintained with tight floor surface where utensils washed.
• Pizza Prima, 7 - 9000 Weston Rd., Vaughan, was found to being operated in a manner adversely affecting sanitary conditions.
  

The food premises disclosure system provides the public access to information relating to charges laid and closures made by York Region community and health services public health inspectors.

Health inspection results are available for food establishments, recreational water facilities, salons and spas in York Region.
