PFLAG presents first charity gala Stand Proud

PFLAG Canada-York Region (Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays) will host its first LGBTQ Charity Gala Stand Proud in York Region Friday, Feb. 7 starting at 6:30 p.m. at The Heintzman House in Thornhill, 135 Bay Thorn Dr.

LGBTQ people (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual, transgendered, queer, and questioning), their friends and families are invited; all proceeds go to PFLAG York Region’s outreach, support and educational services.

Tickets are $65 (ages 16+), includes dinner, 1 drink ticket, unlimited non-alcoholic beverages, dancing and entertainment.

PFLAG Canada-York Region is a registered charity, run entirely by volunteers and based in Richmond Hill. Its fundamental goal is to work to end homophobia through outreach, support and education and it holds monthly support meetings.
