A group of local high school photography students will showcase their best work tonight night.
Dubbed Retrospect, the exhibition features pieces by Grade 12 students from St. Jean de Brebeuf Catholic High School in Woodbridge.
There will also be an unveiling of a major collaborative project between the students and City of Vaughan Archives, the results of which will be preserved as part of the city’s permanent collection.
The show takes place tonight from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Vellore Hall, 9531 Weston Rd.
It represents a culmination of four years worth of work by the students.
St. Jean de Brebeuf, founded in 2005, offers fine art students the opportunity to choose courses from comprehensive four-year programs in drama, music, photography and visual arts.
Photography students learn all aspects of the art form, including traditional darkroom skills, advanced Photoshop methods and professional lighting techniques.
