Three more Pan Am medals for Vaughan, Richmond Hill gymnasts

Three York Region residents were members of Canada’s rhythmic gymnastics team that captured a bronze medal in the group ribbons final in the 2015 Pan American Games at the Toronto Coliseum Sunday.

Richmond Hill’s Maya Kojevnikov, 18, and Vaughan residents Victoria Reznik, 20, and her twin sister Anjelika Reznik, helped the Canadian entry record a score of 12.817 during their routine.

Brazil claimed the gold with a score of 15.000 while the United States took silver with a score of 13.283.

Other Canadian team members included Katrina Cameron of Mississauga, Lucinda Nowell of Toronto, Vanessa Panov of Toronto.

The Canadian team will be aiming for a second medal when they compete in the group clubs/hoops competition Monday at 11:50 a.m.
