LETTER: Dedicated to delivering positive results for Vaughan and Ontario

Re: Politicians at all levels disappointing, letter, April 30.

A letter-writer in last Thursday’s edition said that said I have not been serving our community nor responding to the inquiries of my constituents.

While I appreciate the opinion of the writer, I am dedicated to delivering positive results to those who elected me as their MPP and making sure that the important investments in our health care, education and community infrastructure are made.

Since being sworn in as MPP in 2012 and being re-elected in 2014, I have worked hard to deliver important items to our community such as the Hwy. 27 extension, new schools, and improved GO Services.

Just two weeks ago, I announced that Regional Express Rail will be brought to the Barrie GO Line, adding such services as two-way, all-day 15-minute service or better on weekdays, evenings and weekends between Aurora and Union Station.

As MPP, it’s my job to make sure that the concerns of Vaughan citizens are heard at Queen’s Park, and I can confidently state that the writer’s inquiries to my office were responded to promptly.

Although I cannot always guarantee a favourable response, my office is committed to doing everything it can to help. That is why I continue to make myself available to assist our community’s residents and encourage them to contact my office should they have any questions or concerns.

I am honoured to represent this wonderful community, and together we can continue to build up Vaughan and all of Ontario.
