Power outages across the GTA have more than 18,000 customers in the dark Wednesday morning in the wake of some wicked weather.
And it could be afternoon before power is restored to some pockets in Toronto.
The TTC is also reporting issues.
Subway service has been suspended from Warden to Kennedy stations on Line 2 due to hydro problems at Kennedy Station.
And service SRT service has been suspended due to signal-related problems at Kennedy SRT stations.
Shuttle buses have been dispatched.
A hydro pole fire continues to smoulder at Belfield Road, with traffic lights out at Martingrove Road and Highway 409.
Residents said the fire sparked up around 7 p.m. on Tuesday, knocking out power.
Northbound Martingrove is closed at the 409.
At its peak, the number of outages hit about 87,000 in the GTA.
The lights are still out for about 3,500 Powerstream customers in Markham, Vaughan, and Aurora.
Weather conditions and road salt sprayed on equipment led to pole fires and other equipment issues for the power provider.
Toronto Hydro is reporting 15,000 outages, with the majority in Etobicoke and Scarborough.
The lights were even out at Yorkdale Mall forcing it to close early. The shopping centre is set to reopen as usual on Wednesday.
About 100 customers are without power in Brampton and some pockets of Mississauga also in the dark.
Hydro One crews working in Brampton were further delayed by high winds kicking up after the snow fell.
Crews are working to restore power but it could be hours until service is up and running across the board.
