Freezing rain warning issued by Environment Canada

Things could get a lot more slippery in the region, as a system bringing freezing rain is expected to arrive on Wednesday.
Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning for parts of the region, ahead of a system that could accumulate two to five millimetres of ice. The system is expected to arrive around dawn on Wednesday and last for several hours.
The warning has been issued for:
Innisfil - New Tecumseth - Angus
Orangeville - Grand Valley - Southern Dufferin County
Shelburne - Mansfield - Northern Dufferin County
Bruce Peninsula - Sauble Beach - Tobermory
Owen Sound - Blue Mountains - Northern Grey County
A special weather statement, warning about the potential for freezing rain has been iseed for:
Barrie - Collingwood - Hillsdale
Midland - Coldwater - Orr Lake
Orillia - Lagoon City - Washago
Newmarket - Georgina - Northern York Region
Pickering - Oshawa - Southern Durham Region
Uxbridge - Beaverton - Northern Durham Region
Vaughan - Richmond Hill - Markham
Bracebridge - Gravenhurst
Huntsville - Baysville
Port Carling - Port Severn
Town of Parry Sound - Rosseau - Killbear Park
Environment Canada says they expect to release a full freezing rain warning later on Tuesday.
The weather authority says the freezing rain is part of system moving across the central Great Lakes from Colorado. They say drivers should give themselves extra time for their commute to avoid the potential driving hazards associated with freezing rain.
