Vaughan powers down for Earth Hour

The city, in partnership with Earth Hour Vaughan and PowerStream, hosts its annual Earth Hour celebration at city hall Saturday, March 28. The event begins at 6:30 p.m., with Earth Hour observed from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Aside from turning the lights out for an hour, you can expect a number of other activities including:
Visitors to the energy conservation exhibit will learn about energy cost savings, energy technologies, conservation tips, and environmental solutions for work, home, and school.
Exhibitors will answer questions and provide demonstrations on how you can change the way you consume energy.
*Cyclists must register with the Bicycle Users Group (BUG) by emailing vaughanbug@gmail.com.
Space is limited and cyclists must be equipped with the proper cycling equipment and gear to participate.
