New committee to use culture to attract investment

On March 6 the City of Mississauga announced the formation of the Mississauga International Partnership Program committee to attract foreign direct investment. The committee aims to improve the city’s competitiveness by strengthening connections with cultural groups in the city. Mayor Bonnie Crombie will be the honorary chairperson of the 15-member committee with multicultural representatives from business, cultural or other non-profit international business promotion organizations in the city.
