You're invited to celebrate Winterfest in Vaughan this weekend

Vaughan’s annual WinterFest will be held on Sunday, Feb. 8 at the Vellore Village Community Centre, 1 Villa Royale Ave., in Woodbridge.

The fun-filled event begins at 10 a.m. and runs to 3:30 p.m. It features free outdoor stage entertainment, ice zone, midway zone, horse drawn wagon rides, face painting, art workshops, ‘tween beauty spa, building blocks centre, family storytime and more.

Entertainment highlights include Love You Forever & More Munsch stage show, performances by Canadian singer/songwriter Vita Chambers, Bounce Entertainment, Doo Doo the International Clown and Ice Queen & Ice Princess Singing Performance.

There will also be meet and greet opportunities with Care Bears along with Star Wars characters, and Fairy Tale Princesses.

An autograph signing with Toronto Maple Leafs Nazem Kadri will take place at 2 p.m.

Food will also be available for purchase in the food zone.

An official welcome by Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua and members of council will take place at 11 a.m.

A free shuttle bus service will be provided courtesy of Can-Ar Coach. The shuttle stops will be located at Vaughan City Hall and Emily Carr Secondary School.

There will be no public parking at the event site. It is presented by TD and event sponsors CN, Tim Hortons and TransCanada.
