Chinese New Year Welcomes The Year Of The Sheep

Councillor Sandra Yeung Racco and the City of Vaughan will be hosting a wonderful celebration for Chinese New Year on February 15th from 1:30PM to 5PM at Vaughan City Hall. This year’s special event will feature a tradition lion dance, eye-dotting ceremony, cultural performances, fun family activities and Chinese refreshments.

The celebration will be held in partnership with the Federation of Chinese Canadians in Vaughan (FCCV) and presented by PowerStream. Join the City of Vaughan as they welcome the Year of the Sheep. The Year of the Sheep begins Feb. 19, 2015 until Feb. 7, 2016. The sheep is a symbol of peace and prosperity and is the eighth of 12 animal signs in the Chinese zodiac.
