Fire destroys building at Eagle’s Nest Golf Club in Vaughan

A major fire destroyed the large maintenance shed at he Eagle’s Nest Golf Club in Vaughan on Tuesday morning.
The blaze erupted around 4 a.m. at the club near Dufferin Street and Major MacKenzie Drive West.
There are no reports of any injuries.
The flames were knocked down by 7:30 a.m. but Vaughan firefighters continued to douse hot spots.
Concerns are being raised over the air quality since there were pesticides and fertilizers in the building.
Officials with the Ministry of the Environment are responding to test the air quality, although the threat is believed to be minimal.
There is no word yet on the cause of the fire.
