Frustrated drivers angry at not finding a parking spot at the Maple station may have a reason to smile after GO Transit announced Friday morning 60 new spots would be added to the lot later this spring.

Transportation Minister and Vaughan MPP Steven Del Duca was on hand at the station to make the announcement about the new spots.

“Ontarians lead busy lives — getting to work or school, to appointments and to other commitments should be stress-free. By adding 60 new parking spots, we are making it easier for GO customers in Maple to access the GO network and get to where they need to go.

"This is further proof of our government’s commitment to making the daily commute and quality of life better for Ontario families,” Del Duca said.

The new parking spaces will be added to the area south of Maple's GO station building.
