Local businesses have reopened after an evacuation was prompted by a private snowplow that clipped a gas line in Thornhill Sunday morning.
Police were called about the leak just before 9 a.m., and have called Enbridge to repair the line.
All businesses within 500 metres of the breach, at 113 Doncaster Ave., near Yonge St. and Steeles Ave., were evacuated while crews worked to resolve the issue.
The road was also closed, to prevent any combustion from drawing too near to the leak, police say.
The road and businesses were reopened to the public after the area was deemed safe just after noon on Sunday.
There was no risk to public safety, according to police, and no one was injured.
