Richmond Hill staff submitted a request for direction report to council at its January 26 meeting regarding zoning by-law amendment and draft plan of subdivision applications by Leslie Elgin Developments Inc. for its property at 10961 and 11121 Leslie Street. The applications have been appealed to the Ontario Municipal Board due to the failure of the town to make a decision. Staff is seeking council’s direction on the applications and authorization for staff to appear at the OMB in support of the town’s position.
Leslie Elgin is proposing to develop a residential community with complementary commercial, institutional, open space and employment uses. The total lot area is 42.73 ha and includes 785 residential units comprising single-detached, semi-detached, quadraplexes, townhouses, apartments and other multiunit dwellings.
