Lest We Forget
Snap Vaughan East
Dec. 2015
This month, the City of Vaughan honoured the hundreds of people from the community who were a part of the First and Second World Wars by displaying paper poppies in City Hall from Nov. 2nd to Nov. 11th. Mayor Bevilacqua and Members of Council, with veterans from Vaughan, placed the first ceremonial poppy on a wall at City Hall. Local residents were invited to join them in paying tribute to the soldiers by writing a personal message on a paper poppy and displaying it there as well. Lest we forget.
