Runners in support a good cause gathered at Canada's Wonderland for the 11th Annual Run for Vaughan on September 27th. It was a chilly start to the morning, but that wasn't stopping any of these runners. Everyone gathered behind the orange threshold, waiting to hear the official "Ready, set, go!" and took off in hopes of making 1st place. Family and friends stood on the side lines cheering on the runners during both the 10K Run and the 5K & 1K Family Fun Run. Organized by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, this event always brings the entire Vaughan community together to have fun, keep active and raise funds for the Vaughan's first Hospital. All proceeds will be going towards Mackenzie Vaughan Hospital Foundation. Mayor Bevilacqua, MPP Steven Del Duca and other members of Council were in attendance to show their support and present a cheque to the cause from the last Mayor's Gala. The folks from RBC also presented a cheque to support the cause. Proceeds from this event will also go towards Mackenzie Vaughan Hospital Foundation. There was a wonderful turn out at this year's Run for Vaughan, and we're excited to see what's in store for the next one! Visit www.runforvaughan.com for more information.
