Vaughan Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua announced his endorsement of King - Vaughan Liberal candidate Deb Schulte. A well-known and respected community leader, Mayor Bevilacqua has dedicated three decades to public service, including 22 years as the Member of Parliament for Vaughan.

“Over the years, Deb Schulte has proven through her actions and deeds that she is in public life for all the right reasons. She is motivated by a deep desire to serve people. Deb is an intelligent and caring woman who works hard and knows how to get things done for her community. She is the clear choice!” said Mayor Bevilacqua.

In her former role as a Regional Councillor, Deb worked with Mayor Bevilacqua to bring accountability and transparency to City Hall, invest in transit and road improvements, save taxpayers millions of dollars, and champion the construction of the new Mackenzie Vaughan Hospital.

“I am honoured to have the support and endorsement of Mayor Bevilacqua. During the four years I served as Regional Councillor, I was fortunate to work alongside the Mayor to bring positive change to City Hall and York Region. I look forward to working collaboratively with the Mayor and the province to deliver economic growth and improved public transit with shorter commute times for King-Vaughan, if elected as MP”, said Schulte.

Deb Schulte has also been endorsed by the new riding’s two MPP’s, the Hon. Dr. Helena Jaczek and the Hon. Steven Del Duca as well as King Township Councillor Avia Eek, and Maple and Kleinburg Councillor Marilyn Iafrate.
