Open house held in Thornhill to examine future transportation needs on Bayview Avenue

York Region is doing an environmental assessment study of Bayview Avenue, between Steeles Avenue and Elgin Mills Road in Markham and Richmond Hill.

The EA study reviews the current and future transportation needs and opportunities for pedestrians, cyclists, public transit users and motorists.

York Region is hosting an open house and you are invited to meet the project team, learn about the study, discuss key issues and provide your input.

Information regarding York Region’s policies and the Bayview Avenue corridor will be available.

The open house is set for Thursday, Oct. 29 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Thornhill Community Centre, South Hall, 7755 Bayview Ave., Markham.
