You can peck away at the backyard hen pilot project Oct. 28.
Residents are invited to attend a public information centre for the proposed one-year Ward 2 pilot project. The urban hens pilot project would allow for the safe keeping of up to three hens per residence in the backyards of up to 20 residential properties in the ward. Participants will learn about the recommended regulations for the pilot project as well as some of the potential benefits from the safekeeping of backyard hens.
Recommendations will be debated by the town’s committee of the whole Nov. 30.
