GTHA calls on federal leaders for infrastructure funding

The Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area mayors and chairs unanimously agreed to request federal party leaders to address the infrastructure deficit in the region at a meeting October 6.
In a letter sent to Conservative leader Stephen Harper, NDP leader Thomas Mulcair, Liberal leader Justin Trudeau, Green Party leader Elizabeth May and Bloc Quebecois leader Gilles Duceppe they expressed the need for a fiscal partnership with the federal government and a clear commitment for long-term infrastructure funding.
