Members of the Giuseppe Garibaldi Seniors Club recently invited members to their Annual Picnic on a beautiful sunny day. Club President, Joe Maglio, welcomed everyone to the event and brought special guest, Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua to the front to say a few words about the club and how the City of Vaughan plans to help seniors within the community. Giuseppe Garibaldi Seniors Club is located at Dufferin-Clark Community Centre, and has approximately 117 members. The club provides seniors with a place to socialize, connect and participate in a number of activities including bocce, bingo and cards, as well as dinner and dance parties, and a few trips throughout the year.
