S.A.V.I 12th Annual Seniorsfest

Snapd Vaughan East/Woodbridge
Sept. 2015

On August 30th, the Seniors’ Association of Vaughan Initiative (S.A.V.I.) hosted its 12th annual Seniorsfest Celebration at the Veneto Centre. Over 1,300 seniors from various ethnic backgrounds enjoyed a day-long celebration of cultural diversity, social interaction, great food, music, dance and friendship. Mayor Bevilacqua was joined by Regional Councillors Gino Rosati, Michael Di Biase and Mario Ferri (Founder & Honourary Chair of SAVI) as they welcomed everyone to this event and thanked all for attending. "In its customary style, SAVI continues to engage our seniors in a number of exciting events,” said Isabella Ferrara, President of SAVI. "Our member clubs continue to dedicate both time and effort to build the Association’s effectiveness, and this event reflects that investment." Everyone that stopped by was encouraged to drop off a non-perishable food item for the Vaughan Food Bank. SAVI has established and still maintains the record of collecting the most food in a one-day drive, in Vaughan. Everyone in attendance had a wonderful time at the 12th Annual Seniorsfest.
