S.O.S. Summit on Seniors

Snapd Vaughan East/Woodbridge
Sept. 2015

The Summit on Seniors (S.O.S.) Task Force hosted an informative presentation at Fontana Primavera Event Centre by the 3 major Federal parties on September 11th. The bulk of the presentation focused on several pressing issues for seniors within the city of Vaughan including pensions and health care. MP Julian Fantino for Conservative Party, Liberal Candidate in Vaughan-Woodbridge, Francesco Sorbara, Liberal Candidate in King-Vaughan, Deb Schulte, Regional Councillor Mario Ferri, and NDP Candidate in King-Vaughan, Natalie Rizzo, were all in attendance to give their take on each of these issues regarding seniors. The summit provided seniors the opportunity to hear the three party representatives' perspective on each of these issues, and how they are planning to work together and make a difference. The S.O.S. Task Force would like to send a special “thank you” to Peter Cipriano who has graciously sponsored the food and refreshments for the seniors attending this event. Sincere appreciation to volunteer members of the S.O.S. Task Force: Michael & Silvana Tibollo, Antonio Porretta, Serafina Tripodi, Lorenzo Torres, Fulvio & Lina Tolone, Noor Din, Mary Minielli, Reid Savein, Jordan Cooperman, Emily Riz. This event was a great learning experience for everyone in attendance.
