The Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony
Snapd Vaughan East/Woodbridge
January 2016
A beautiful Christmas tree lit up the scene when the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony took place at Civic Square at Vaughan City Hall on Dec. 3rd in front of a packed crowd from the community. There was plenty of excitement as the countdown for bringing the outdoor Christmas tree to life was on! Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua and Members of Council invited residents to the ceremonious event. There was great festive music, hot chocolate and holiday goodies that were provided. There was also an opportunity to take plenty of photos with Santa Claus himself. In the spirit of giving, donations of new unwrapped toys for children aged newborn to 18 were welcome for this year's City of Vaughan Toy Drive to support the CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish, which has done a phenomenal job of giving back.
