Do you know someone living in York Region who exemplifies character attributes, such as compassion, courage, respect and integrity?

The ninth annual York Region Character Community Awards is the Character Community Foundation’s signature event.

It recognizes individuals, schools, groups and businesses across York Region that demonstrate exemplary character attributes, such as inclusiveness, perseverance, initiative, fairness and honesty.

Does this sound like someone you know, or a group or club or school that brings these attributes to life every day in our community?

You can nominate them for an award in one of numerous categories, to help shine a spotlight on those of character in York Region at the awards event April 29 at the Richmond Hill Centre for Performing Arts.

Nominations are due by Monday, Feb. 9 and you can submit your nomination online, by mail or fax.

Online entries are preferred at www.charactercommunity.com.
