Vaughan Winterfest Returns This Sunday With Midway Rides and Plenty of Free Fun

The city of Vaughan is set to host its annual Winterfest this Sunday, an event that promises a variety of entertaining and engaging activities for families.
This celebration, taking place at the Vellore Village Community Centre, offers both indoor and outdoor activities free of charge, ensuring there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Highlights of the festival include meet and greets with popular characters JJ & Cody from CoComelon and an opportunity to meet and ice skate with Roman Sadovsky, a Canadian Olympic figure skater renowned for his achievements.
The whole family can look forward to a wide range of free activities. The lineup features midway rides, horse-drawn wagon rides, snowshoeing, skating, giant and sports games, fire pits with Muskoka chairs, and roaming entertainers.
Special sessions like an animal demo/education session with Earth Rangers, an Engineering for Kids workshop, and a Mad Science Fun Station will be available.
For those interested in fitness, free swim sessions, snowshoe program trials, fitness classes, and gymnastics trials are on the agenda.
The Vellore Village Library will host winter-themed storytime and building activities, including Keva, Jenga, Connect4, Magformers, and Plus Plus.
Plus, you can enjoy a free pancake breakfast, available from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., while supplies last.
To facilitate easy access to the event, free parking and shuttle services are provided, with shuttle buses running from Vaughan City Hall and Emily Carr Secondary School. Additional park and walk locations are available, and accessible parking is provided at St. Jean de Brebeuf.
