The City of Vaughan's Communications, Marketing and Engagement department is once again being recognized for their excellence in this field with several MarCom Awards!

The MarCom Awards is an international creative competition that recognizes outstanding achievements by marketing and communication professionals from more than 25 countries. The City's Communications, Marketing and Engagement department received five MarCom Awards and two Honourable Mentions in 2023. This is the fifth consecutive year the team has been recognized by this organization.

Each year, the MarCom Awards competition receives more than 6,500 print and digital entries. Judges look for organizations and individuals with talent that exceed a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark in the industry.

Vaughan's Communications, Marketing and Engagement department, based in the Office of Communications and Economic Development, employs various communications methods to keep the community in the know, including daily media products, proactive media outreach, eNewsletters, social media, website content, mailers, signage and much more. That is in addition to extensive internal communications efforts for staff. Along with keeping Vaughan residents informed and engaged, the department uses compelling visuals and strategic storytelling to keep the community informed.
