'ALL LANES CLOSED': Significant closures in Vaughan, Markham, Richmond Hill and King Feb. 12-16 on Highway 400 and Highway 427 along with Highway 404 trigger traffic warnings to drivers

New and continuing closures on highways 400, 404 and 427 running through Vaughan, Richmond Hill and Markham this week could bring some lengthy traffic delays.
The Ministry of Transportation is alerting York drivers to the closures on its 511 Ontario website and through social media channels this week in an effort to inform drivers so they can be prepared to take alternate routes due to potential traffic delays.
The closures for the week of Feb. 12-16 include:
- Maintenance on Highway 427 southbound between Steeles Avenue and Rexdale Boulevard Feb. 12-16 will trigger alternating lane closures from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.;
- Maintenance on Highway 400 southbound between Teston Road and Major MacKenzie Drive will leave "all lanes closed" from 11:59 p.m. to 5 a.m. Feb. 12, according to the Ministry;
- Construction on Highway 400 southbound between Aurora Road and King Township Road 16 in King will result in alternating lane closures Feb. 13-16 from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- Maintenance on Highway 400 northbound between Rutherford Road and Major MacKenzie Drive will leave "all lanes closed: Feb. 12 until 5 a.m., according to the Ministry.
- Construction on Highway 404 southbound between Rouge River and 16th Avenue in Markham/Richmond Hill will leave two lanes closed fro, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Feb. 13-15.
