Two suspects sought after Vaughan theatre sprayed with unknown substance

Police in York Region are seeking two male suspects after numerous moviegoers began coughing from an unknown substance sprayed inside a Vaughan theatre.

York Regional Police officers responded to a call Tuesday at 9:20 p.m. at the Cineplex Cinemas Vaughan in the area of Hwy. 7 and Hwy. 400.

Emergency services also attended the cinema and treated several patrons for exposure to the unknown substance.

The theatre was evacuated and no serious injuries were reported.
