Toronto’s mobile Skate Lending Library is back. Here’s where you can find it this winter

The van will offer skates, helmets and other equipment free of charge.

Want to skate this winter but don’t have the equipment?

For the second year in a row, the city of Toronto is offering residents skates and equipment to borrow free of charge with its mobile Skate Lending Library, making it easier than ever to get laced up and partake in this classic Canadian pastime.

In addition to the skates, the city will also offer helmets and skating aids. The service is open to everyone and is first come, first serve.

The Skate Lending Library van will be travelling to different skating rinks throughout the winter. Here’s where you can find it:

• Otter Creek Rink on Sunday, Dec. 3 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

• West Mall Rink on Friday, Dec. 8 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

• Barbara Ann Scott Ice Trail on Saturday, Dec. 9 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

• Giovanni Caboto Rink on Sunday, Dec. 10 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

• Hodgson Rink on Friday, Dec. 15 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

• Trinity Bellwoods Park on Saturday, Dec. 16 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

• North Toronto Memorial Rink on Sunday, Dec. 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

• Harry Gairey Rink on Friday, Dec. 22 from 12 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

• Ramsden Park Rink on Saturday, Dec. 23 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

• Otter Creek Rink on Sunday, Dec. 24 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

• Prince of Wales Rink on Tuesday, Dec. 26 from 12 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

• Greenwood Park Rink and Skate Trail on Wednesday, Dec. 27 from 12 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

• West Mall Rink on Thursday, Dec. 28 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

• McCowan District Park Rink and Skate Trail on Friday, Dec. 29 from 12 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

• Regent Park Athletic Grounds Rink on Saturday, Dec. 30 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

• Otter Creek Rink on Sunday, Dec. 31 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

• High Park Rink on Monday, Jan. 1 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
