Stouffville offers overnight on-street holiday parking for residents, visitors

The Town of Stouffville is lifting winter parking restrictions this holiday season from December 22 through January 2. Residents and visitors will not require parking permits to park overnight on town streets during this time.

“This season is meant to be spent celebrating with family and friends and not worrying about how long your guests are parked on the street,” Stouffville Mayor Iain Lovatt said. “Residents and visitors will not receive tickets for parking more than three hours, including overnight, during this time.”

This temporary lifting of restrictions is not applicable during winter weather events, including significant snow falls and storms. The town asks that residents are mindful of weather reports and remove their vehicles from streets so that snow removal vehicles can safely do their job.

Other parking restrictions will continue to be enforced on these dates, including, but not limited to:

Winter parking restrictions are in effect from December 1 until March 31 each year. Outside of the worry-free holiday parking timeline, winter parking restrictions prohibit all on-street parking between the hours of 2 a.m. and 6 a.m.
