‘THRILLED’: Popular discount store opening in Vaughan Saturday, Dec. 2 with gift cards for customers and other giveaways

Vaughan residents who love finding a good deal will be happy to know that Giant Tiger, the popular discount store, will be opening a new location in town this Saturday.

The new store, which will be located at 67 Colossus Dr., is the first Giant Tiger franchise in Vaughan.

"We are thrilled to officially open our new location," said Giant Tiger in a Facebook post announcing the news.

Shoppers can take part in the store's "Opening Weekend Customer Celebration," taking place on Saturday between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m.

"The grand opening celebration continues with gift cards for the first 100 customers, festive Giant Tiger Marché giveaways, photos with Santa Claus, and more," said the event page's info section.

Giant Tiger has over 260 stores across Canada. As of 2021, the chain reported annual sales of roughly $2 billion, employing about 10,000 people. Its head office is located in Ottawa.
