Woman suffers life-threatening injuries after being struck by dump truck in Vaughan

Investigators with then York Regional Police are seeking witnesses following a serious collision involving a dump truck and a pedestrian in Vaughan.

A 57-year-old woman has been taken to hospital where she remains in life-threatening condition after she was struck by a dump truck at the intersection of Major Mackenzie Drive West and Vellore Park Avenue at about 10 a.m. on Oct. 31, police said.

The driver of the dump truck was not physically injured and remained at the scene, police said.

Investigators are appealing to any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police and to anyone who may have dashcam video of the area around the time of the collision to come forward.

The investigation is ongoing.
