Richmond Hill’s two Canadian Tire stores have partnered with the city in a multi-year sponsorship dedicated to supporting community recreation.

The stores, located at 250 Silver Linden Dr. and 11720 Yonge St., are the ‘Presenting Partners’ of the city’s Adventure Series, a program that teaches children valuable outdoor skills such as orienteering, rock climbing, hiking and making a fire.

Canadian Tire will also host several free, indoor community public skates over the coming two winters. View the public skate schedule at RichmondHill.ca/Skating for times and locations.

“Canadian Tire has always been an active member of our community,” said Mayor David West. “We appreciate and acknowledge both their support and dedication to helping ensure everyone in our city has opportunities to take part in skating and other activities.

“Partnerships like this one are great for helping to build an active, inclusive and healthy community.”

The Canadian Tire brand can be seen at Ed Sackfield Arena and Fitness Centre and Tom Graham Arena.

“It’s a real privilege to be able to serve such a vibrant multicultural community,” said Joe Mohr, associate dealer at Canadian Tire’s Silver Linden Drive location. “We’re very excited to be partnering with the city.

“it’s a perfect fit that aligns with our company’s vision to promote and assist in local sports.”
