New closures on York Region highways over the next few days have the Ministry of Transportation putting drivers on alert.

- Recurring construction on Highway 400 southbound collector off-ramp at Highway 7 in Vaughan. "All lanes closed," according to the ministry. As follows: Both lanes close at 10 p.m. on Nov. 12, and then both open at 5 a.m. on Nov. 14.
- Recurring construction on Highway 404 northbound between Highway 7 and Major Mackenzie Drive in Markham/Richmond Hill. Two alternating lanes. Detailed as follows: Between Nov. 13 and 17, the first lane closes at 10 p.m. and the second lane closes at 11:59 p.m. while both lanes open at 5 a.m. On Nov. 18, the first lane closes at 11 p.m. and the second closes at 11:59 p.m., while both lanes open at 6 a.m.
