Two toddlers aged two and three were taken to hospital along with a female staff member and the driver of a vehicle that rammed into a Vaughan daycare's playground fence, injuring the children and a staff member.
The incident occurred on Oct. 4 morning when the vehicle, allegedly being driven by a man in his 80s, crashed into the metal structure.
In the aftermath, four people were taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries. Police say it was the fence, not the vehicle that hit the injured parties at the daycare.
The elderly man was taken to hospital for assessment and had no physical injuries, police said.
One staff member at Goodness Childcare Centre, on Rutherford Road, across from the Vaughan police station, said she had “no comment” when
Yorkregion.com reached out to get an update on everyone's condition. We do know parents were called to collect their children early on Oct. 4.
York Regional Police said there is no update on the investigation into the crash.
