'ALL LANES CLOSED': Significant closures in Vaughan and Markham as well as Richmond Hill Oct. 30-Nov. 4 on Highway 400 and Highway 427 along with Highway 404 trigger traffic warnings to drivers

There are new closures on Highway 400, Highway 427 and Highway 404 that have just been announced for the week and they could be impacting drivers in Vaughan, Markham and Richmond Hill as early as Monday (Oct. 30).
The closures were revealed by the Ministry of Transportation. Some are during daylight; some at night. All of them are quite lengthy. They include:
- Maintenance on Highway 427 northbound between Langstaff and Rutherford roads in Vaughan will leave two right lanes closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Oct. 30-Nov. 4;
- Construction on the Highway 400 southbound off-ramp at Rutherford Road in Vaughan will leave the right lane closed from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. Oct. 29-Nov. 3;
- Construction on the Highway 400 northbound off-ramp at Rutherford Road will leave "all lanes closed" from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Oct. 29-Nov. 3, according to the Ministry;
- Construction on Highway 404 northbound between Highway 7 and Major MacKenzie in Markham-Richmond Hill will leave two lanes closed from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Oct. 29-Nov. 4;
- Construction on Highway 404 southbound between Major MacKenzie and Highway 7 in Markham/Richmond Hill will leave two alternating lanes closed from 9 p.m. top 5 a.m. Oct. 29-Nov. 4.
