'ALL LANES CLOSED': Major closures in Vaughan and Markham as well as Richmond Hill on Highway 400 and Highway 427 along with Highway 404 Oct. 23-28 trigger traffic warnings to drivers

There are some new closures this week that have just been announced on highways in Vaughan, Richmond Hill and Markham, and they start today (Monday, Oct. 23).
The Ministry of Transportation is putting drivers on alert about the closures that could come with significant traffic delays. They include:
- Construction on Highway 400 southbound collectors between Langstaff Road and Highway 7 will leave "all lanes closed" from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Oct. 23, 25, according to the Ministry.
- Maintenance on Highway 427 southbound between Major MacKenzie Drive and Langstaff Road will leave two lanes closed from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Oct. 23-28;
- Construction on Highway 404 northbound between Highway 7 and 16th Avenue in Markham-Richmond Hill will leave two lanes closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Oct. 23-28;
- Construction on Highway 404 northbound on-ramp at Major MacKenzie Drive will leave "all lanes closed" from 11:59 p.m. to 5 a.m. Oct. 23-28.
