'All lanes closed': Significant closures in Vaughan and Markham as well as Richmond Hill on Highway 400 and Highway 427 along with Highway 404 Oct. 2-6 trigger traffic warnings to drivers

New closures have been announced on York region highways this week that could cause traffic problems for drivers, particularly on Highways 400, 404 and 427.
As a result, the Ministry of Transportation is alerting drivers to the closures. They include:
- Construction on Highway 400 southbound collectors, between Langstaff Road and Highway 7, will leave "all lanes closed" from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. up until Oct. 4, according to the ministry.
- Construction on Highway 404, northbound between Major MacKenzie Drive and Stouffville Road, will leave two left lanes closed from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. Oct. 2-6;
- Construction on Highway 404, northbound at Highway 7, will leave one lane closed from 11:59 p.m. to 5 a.m. Oct. 2-6;
- Construction on Highway 427, southbound between Zenway Boulevard and Highway 7, will leave the right lane closed from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Oct. 2-6.
- Construction on Highway 404 southbound on-ramp at Major Mackenzie Drive will leave "all lanes closed" from 11:59 p.m. to 5 a.m. Oct. 2-6, according to the ministry.
