The weather is getting cooler and the leaves are getting crunchier -- it must be fall! With the arrival of fall season comes fall fairs, a great reason to put on your favourite knitted sweater and go out with family and friends, enjoying tractor rides, candied apples, face painting and pumpkin-flavoured ... well, anything!
We've already seen a few spectacular autumn events, including the Acton Fall Fair, the Bolton Fall Fair, and the always exciting Streetsville Fall Market in Mississauga. As we enter October, there are still plenty of fall fairs you can check out, including a few this weekend.
Here are some of the best fall fairs Ontario has to offer.
CALEDONIA FALL FAIR
When: Friday, Sept. 29 to Sunday, Oct. 1.
Where: 151 Caithness St. E., Caledonia.
Enjoy livestock shows, homecraft exhibits, food and the midway, with an array of live entertainment.
MARKHAM FAIR
When: Sept. 28 to Sunday, Oct. 1.
Where: Markham Fair Grounds, 10801 McCowan Rd., Markham.
From several events and competitions to great live shows and a midway, your weekend is sure to be packed with fantastic fun.
APPLEFEST FALL FAIR
When: Sunday, Oct. 1.
Where: Ireland House Museum, 2168 Guelph Line, Burlington.
The day will be filled with family-friendly entertainment on the main stage, as well as an apple scavenger hunt, a vendor market, food truck, historic demonstrations, and tours of the historic Ireland House Museum.
KINDERFEST FALL FAIR
When: Sunday, Oct. 1.
Where: Bingemans 425 Bingemans Centre Dr., Kitchener.
The region's newest fall festival promises fun for the whole family, including carnival rides, pumpkin cookie decorating, fall treats, face painting and more.
Erin fall fair
When: Thursday, Oct. 5 to Monday, Oct. 9.
Where: Erin Fairgrounds, 190 Main St, Erin.
The Erin Agricultural Society is once again hosting its annual fall fair. Complete with exhibits and contests for all to enjoy, this is a must-visit over your Thanksgiving celebrations.
WOODBRIDGE FALL FAIR
When: Saturday, Oct. 7 to Monday, Oct. 9.
Where: Woodbridge Fall Fair, 100 Porter Avenue, Vaughan.
Spend the Thanksgiving long weekend at the Woodbridge Fall Fair, Rides and games, fair food, live music and shows are just a few of the things to enjoy at the fair.
WOODVIEW FAMILY FALL FAIR
When: Thursday, Oct. 12.
Where: Woodview Mental Health and Autism Services, 69 Flatt Road, Burlington.
Come out for a day of excitement and connection at Woodview's Family Fall Fair and Annual General Meeting, featuring fun for the whole family.
THE ROYAL AGRICULTURAL WINTER FAIR
When: Saturday, Nov. 4 to Monday, Nov. 6.
Where: Coca-Cola Coliseum, 5 Manitoba Dr., Toronto.
